Full Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history review, physical examination, and interpretation of diagnostic tests
Accurately document patient encounters, progress notes, and other relevant information in electronic medical records or other documentation systems.
Advising patients on preventative care and optimal health practices
Ensure quality of tests being performed
Analyze and interpret test results i.e. pft, chest x-rays, abi's, EKGs, etc...
Refer patients for further diagnostic testing as needed
Relay information between clinics and physicians as needed
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Completion of a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program.
Passing a national certification exam administered by organizations such as the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB).
State licensure as an NP
Adult and Geriatric patient population experience
