Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll play a vital part in delivering comprehensive GI care to patients, working closely with an interdisciplinary team in both long-term care and acute settings.

Responsibilities
• Provide gastroenterology consults for residents in skilled nursing facilities
• Evaluate and manage GI conditions such as GERD, GI bleeding, liver disease, constipation, dysphagia, and inflammatory bowel disease
• Conduct comprehensive GI-focused evaluations
• Order and interpret labs, imaging, and stool studies
• Manage medications and nutritional recommendations for GI conditions
• Collaborate with gastroenterologists and facility providers to coordinate care
• Educate patients and caregivers on diet, medication adherence, and symptom management
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation and regulatory compliance

Qualifications
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility (Hospital/outpatient office experience will also be considered)
• Active and unrestricted NP license • DEA license required • CPR certification (BCLS/BLS)
• Master's degree in Nursing (NP applicants)
• Graduation from an accredited NP program • Preferred: Experience in GI (training available if not)
• Preferred: Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., Sigma, Visual, PCC - training provided)
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
