Job Description:

The Nurse Manager is responsible for the oversight of the nursing staff. Within the framework of the objectives and policies established, plan and coordinate nursing services and participate as a management team member in planning, policy foundation, and administrative decision-making regarding the role, functions, and operations of the nursing services. Included would be oversight of the charge nurses and their job description requirements.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements related to nursing services.
  • Assesses the quality of care rendered and makes recommendations for change as needed.
  • Initiates the development of policies and procedures that govern nursing services and other services under their role.
  • Responsible for establishing standards for staff performance, staff recruitment, staff retention, and staff development.
  • Responsible for collaborating with other departments and agencies regarding resources and services for improved patient care and staff development.
  • Collaborates with nursing and pharmacy techs to maintain proper medication inventory .
  • Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to share expertise and knowledge.
  • Prepares reports pertaining to the Department of Nursing.

  • Ability to establish priorities and coordinate work activities.
  • Able to work with the Charge Nurses to coordinate staffing utilizing acuity, controlling over time, floating or flexing staff as needed to maintain proper staffing within the budget.


Education and Experience:
  • Current RN CA License.
  • Clinic management experience is a must.
  • Minimum 5 years of Registered Nurse with oncology experience.
  • 3-5 years of management experience in the oncology setting.
  • Oncology Nurse Certification through the Oncology Nursing Society


Additional Requirements:
  • Great Customer Service Skills.
  • Excellent skills in medical terminology, specifically in Oncology/Hematology.
  • Previous Oncology/Hematology experience required.
  • Able to travel to satellite clinics when necessary


Salary Transparency:
  • Exact compensation may vary based on skills, education, certifications, experience, and location. Base Salary Range from $145,000.00 to $165,000.00
