How you'll make an impact in this role

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements for self and within the unit(s). Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care services for the assigned unit(s).
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to guarantee efficient and effective delivery of health services in the unit(s). Develop and maintain quality monitoring systems for the assigned unit(s).
  • Monitor and adhere to budget. Approve or monitor expenditures, purchases and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines.

  • Conduct hiring, training, directing, counseling, development and evaluating of staff.

What minimum requirements you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross Accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • One or more of the following:
    • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross Accepted. Required if working in adult critical care setting.


Education:

  • Required professional licensure/certification AND 3 years of experience and 1 year of cumulative leadership experience required.

  • L&D Experience Required
  • Management experience preferred
