Masters in Nursing preferred. Someone who takes accountability, leads with passion and agility, can manage large teams and drive results. The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) provides medical services for complex acute and chronic health issues, such as trauma, high-risk obstetrics, sepsis, GI bleeds, strokes, and more. As Nurse Manager, you will manage and deliver exceptional nursing care to patients in the ICU. You will use your extensive knowledge and skills to supervise and provide clinical direction to maintain and ensure quality outcomes. A caregiver in this position works days from 7:00 a.m. 6 4:00 p.m. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Manage the operation and practice of professional nursing and delivery of nursing care on an assigned unit. Establish clinical direction of nursing care, provide clinical supervision and maintain quality outcomes and patient care standards. Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care. Supervise caregivers and promote development. Maintain adherence to JCAHO and other regulatory standards. Coordinate unit operations with other units/departments. Develop and monitor budgets, approve purchases and establish/revise inventory quotes. Analyze personnel structure and determine staffing needs. Evaluate performance, conduct selection and termination processes and develop strategic plans. Participate in clinical nursing research and support foundation research activities. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN) Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) Three years of recent nursing clinical experience with at least one year of healthcare management experience High degree of clinical expertise in specialty area managed Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Master's Degree in Nursing Two years healthcare management experience Physical Requirements: Requires full range of motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye and hand coordination. Requires frequent data entry, sitting, standing and walking. Requires corrective vision and hearing to normal range. Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids. Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work. Personal Protective Equipment: Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
