Job Description

The Clinical Nurse Manager, under the supervision of the Department Director, guides the nursing care of patients. Serves as a resource person for fellow employees. Encourages and supports departmental staff in team development and function. With department directors, assumes responsibility for the long term planning for the unit in collaboration with nursing schools, medical staff and administrative staff.

Additional Job Description

Education: Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) degree; Master of Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) preferred.

Experience: Minimum of RN Supervisor or Coordinator experience in Surgical Services required; Nurse Manager experience preferred

Credentials: Certification in specialty area preferred or completion within one year of eligibility strongly encouraged. Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or compact state required. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required
