Title: Nurse Manager - Behavioral Health
Location: Brooklyn, NY (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Compensation: $145,000 - $155,000
Employment Type: Direct Hire or Contract-to-Hire

Overview: A leading hospital system in Brooklyn is seeking a Nurse Manager - Behavioral Health to oversee inpatient psychiatric services. This role will partner closely with senior leadership to manage unit operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of an inpatient behavioral health/psychiatric unit
  • Collaborate with Director-level leadership on clinical and operational strategy
  • Ensure compliance with NYSDOH, OMH, DOHMH, JCAHO, and other regulatory bodies
  • Monitor admissions, discharges, and patient flow to ensure quality care and outcomes
  • Lead performance improvement initiatives and interdisciplinary quality programs
  • Prepare and analyze clinical, operational, and regulatory reporting data
  • Manage staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation
  • Provide administrative leadership and 24-hour operational oversight
  • Support survey readiness and accreditation processes
  • Promote a culture of patient-centered care and continuous improvement
Required Qualifications
  • Active RN license
  • 5+ years RN experience
  • 5+ years psychiatric/behavioral health clinical experience
  • 2+ years leadership/management experience
  • MUST HAVE: Experience managing a psychiatric unit within a hospital setting
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and quality improvement methodologies (CQI, RCA)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
