Full Job Description
This position is eligible for $25,000 relocation assistance, a Critical Position Bonus equal to $10,000, and participation in the Director-level Incentive Compensation Plan, which currently provides a maximum annual incentive opportunity of up to 10% of annual earnings.

About the Position:

The Nurse Director is responsible for planning, directing, supervising, and participating in the activities of the Medical-Surgical department to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. This position promotes collaboration among hospital departments, community healthcare professionals, and the public while integrating departmental operations with organizational goals.

Working closely with the Nursing Administration Team, the Nurse Director provides principled leadership by defining and interpreting nursing goals and aligning nursing services with the hospital's mission and strategic priorities. This role also oversees clinical operations and may provide direct patient care as needed to support departmental needs and maintain the highest standards of clinical excellence.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • 2 years of Acute Care - Nursing experience
  • 2 years of Med Surg Director experience
  • State of Alaska RN Licensure or eligibility to obtain upon hire
  • BLSP (CPR) & ACLS from the American Heart Association
  • PALS from the American Heart Association within 6 months of hire
