Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 5 years' experience leading engineering teams
• At least 10 years' experience in complex product design and analysis
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally 10% of the time
• Outstanding communication and influencing skills

Responsibilities

• Recruit, develop, and retain engineering talent while fostering high-performance culture
• Enhance the team's technical product knowledge and apply it to diverse design challenges
• Oversee team performance and ensure responsibility for new product development processes
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to optimize designs for manufacturability
• Work with Sourcing team to identify and qualify new suppliers, addressing potential risks
• Support customer specifications for new nuclear instrumentation applications
• Prioritize and update team tasks while tracking resource utilization
• Develop design processes that enhance consistency and yield of engineering designs
• Lead cross-division collaborations to establish best practices in design processes
• Maintain and innovate design practices based on lessons learned and changing requirements
• Manage team infrastructure elements like intellectual property and operational metrics
