The Fleet Reliability Engineer supports the nuclear fleet by providing technical expertise to improve equipment reliability, reduce risk, and ensure safe, compliant operation of critical plant systems. This role focuses on reliability and lifecycle management of cranes, heavy lifting systems, and related balance-of-plant equipment, while also leveraging an Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) background to support system performance, monitoring, and troubleshooting across the fleet.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Provide fleet-level reliability engineering support for cranes, hoists, and heavy lifting equipment, including inspections, maintenance strategies, and corrective actions.
• Apply I&C expertise to support control systems, instrumentation, condition monitoring, and equipment diagnostics.
• Perform root cause evaluations and develop corrective actions for equipment performance issues and adverse events.
• Support lifecycle management plans, obsolescence evaluations, and modernization strategies.
• Interface with site engineering, maintenance, vendors, and OEMs to resolve technical issues and implement improvements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, regulatory commitments, and nuclear quality requirements.
• Support outage planning and execution activities as needed.
Work Environment and Culture
This position is based in Jupiter West, Florida and works within the Fleet Reliability Engineering team. The role partners closely with site engineering, operations, and maintenance across the nuclear fleet. The work environment is collaborative, technically rigorous, and focused on continuous improvement, risk reduction, and operational excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
• Nuclear power plant experience.
• Reliability engineering or lifecycle management experience.
• Familiarity with applicable codes (e.g., ASME, NUREG, plant programs).
