Job Title: Research and Development Management

Location: Chandler, AZ

Role Summary:

  • Serve as a senior technical leader responsible for driving critical technology strategies and execution across the organization.

  • Lead the assessment, prioritization, and readiness planning of New Product Introduction (NPI) programs to ensure successful and efficient execution. This extends from architecture and technology decisions to planning of package variants.

  • Own and drive Process and Package Technology roadmaps, enabling technology development and deployment aligned with business objectives.

  • Define and manage Intellectual Property (IP) roadmap requirements, ensuring alignment with current and future product roadmaps.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives by ensuring project scope, resource planning, and staffing requirements are accurately defined and aligned at the outset to ensure successful execution. This will include process technology, package, architecture and IP selection (both internal and external).

  • Drive and own Process Technology deployment efforts, with a focus on prioritizing the 12e process technology implementation and identifying an initial product candidate that enables a rapid learning cycle and accelerated deployment.

  • Provide leadership and oversight for critical NPI programs requiring additional support, ensuring robust planning and tracking to consistently achieve project milestones, deliverables, and cross-functional execution.

  • Develop, manage, and execute Intellectual Property (IP) roadmaps, beginning with Digital IP and IP train initiatives, to align technology development with business and product strategies. This would include internal as well as external IP development efforts.

  • Lead and own key strategic initiatives across the organization, driving cross-functional collaboration, accountability, and execution to achieve organizational objectives and business outcomes.

Job Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field; advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) preferred.

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in research, technology development, product development, or semiconductor engineering, including leadership experience managing technical teams and complex programs.

  • Demonstrated success leading New Product Introduction (NPI) programs from concept through development, qualification, and production release.

  • Deep technical expertise in process technology, package technology, product development, or related engineering disciplines.

  • Proven experience developing and executing technology roadmaps, IP strategies, and long-term innovation plans that support business and product objectives.

  • Demonstrated leadership in managing multiple complex initiatives, prioritizing competing demands, and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence technical and executive audiences.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of making data-driven decisions.

  • Ability to work effectively in a global and highly matrixed organization.
