  • Act as the point of contact for budget management related to the G3500 Platform.

Job Description:

NPI Team Leader - G3500 Platform

This position will have primary responsibility for leading NPI / NTI program requirements for G3500 gas engine development. As an NPI / NTI requirements team leader you will be responsible for leading high performing, cross functional teams using the recommended NPI / NTI processes for each program you support which is both challenging and rewarding. NPI / NTI program results are measured at each gateway and include successfully completing the deliverables defined by each specific NPI gateway from launch through gateway 7.

What you will do:
  • New Technology Introduction (NTI), New Product Introduction (NPI) and New Source Introduction (NSI) engineering requirements leadership covering multiple facilities and time zones
  • Voice of Customer (VOC) engagement with application marketing and service teams
  • Voice of Regulator (VOR) for both emissions and non-emissions to ensure products meet industry standards and government regulations
  • NPI program Total cost of Ownership (TCO) review, management and report out
  • Alignment of requirements management process to NPI process for G3500 programs using the CLEAR requirements management tool:
    • Translating market functional requirements (MFR) and voice of regulator (VOR) requirements into NPI targets & thresholds
    • Gaining consensus on program committed values with the technical team and business unit
    • Ensuring CLEAR utilization, confidence evaluation and updates at all DR/GW reviews by the 30+ NPI technical teams
    • Driving meetings to resolve MFR and CLEAR requirements gaps working directly with LEPS / O&G Marketing and LPSD Technical teams
  • CLEAR requirements training of engineering teams
  • Report on VOR, requirements and TCO status at stakeholder updates, design and gateway reviews
  • High level point of contact for Gas LEP budget management working closely with G3500 Platform team for detailed budget management


Education:
  • 4 year degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology or relevant experience

Proficiency working with computers and computer systems. Software programs used frequently include, but not limited to: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point, Creo, Team Center

Project Management: Extensive Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.

Summary Pay Range:

$147,760.00 - $221,640.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
