Role Overview
We are seeking a technician to provide on-site build support, material library management, and shipping/logistics coordination for an engineering hardware team. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role requiring strong attention to detail, security awareness, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks independently.
Key Responsibilities
• Receive, verify, pack, label, and track engineering materials for local hardware builds
• Maintain and fulfill requests from a physical library of engineering parts (MLBs, flexes, modules, components)
• Manage inbound/outbound shipments including customs documentation, carrier tracking, and DRP updates
• Import and update unit records in iTrack (internal tracking system); process re-allocations within 24 hours
• Ensure proper chain-of-custody and security protocols for sensitive and high-value engineering materials
• Coordinate daily with internal stakeholders and external partners (SRM, DHX, customs, carriers, trade compliance)
• Deliver daily allocation and shipment status reports by 5:00 PM PT to applicable teams
• Support hardware re-work logistics track outbound units and follow up on inbound returns
• Execute inventory cleanouts with full documentation; coordinate secure disposal with security teams
• Escalate delivery issues, customs holds, and discrepancies same day with clear communication
Must-Have Skills
• Prefers Prior 6 Months Apple exp.
• 2+ years of experience in physical inventory management, material handling, or logistics operations
• Hands-on experience verifying shipments against packing lists, POs, and commercial invoices
• Familiarity with international and domestic shipping processes, customs documentation, and HS Codes (Harmonized System Codes)
• Strong organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously
• Proficiency with email, chat (Slack/Webex/iMessage), and spreadsheet-based tracking tools
• Experience handling sensitive or classified materials with strict security and chain-of-custody protocols
• Must be available on-site MondayFriday at Cupertino, CA no remote work
Good-to-Have Skills
• Prior experience in an NPI, engineering lab, or consumer electronics build environment
• Familiarity with Apple internal tools, particularly iTrack, DHX, or DRP workflows
• Experience with customs clearance processes and trade compliance documentation
• Exposure to hardware components such as PCBs, logic boards, flex cables, or system assemblies
• Ba ckground in warehouse or stockroom operations within a high-security facility
Salary Range : $65,000-$100,000 a year.
