What You'll Get To Do:

This position is responsible for leading the PIDSA EMD North America sales, and distribution functions for assigned products in alignment with the goals and strategies of the PIDSA EMD management, the EMBD business units, EMBD global sales and marketing, and Panasonic Industrial Company.

Deliver Results:
  • Manage the North America sales and distribution team to increase sales and profitability for EMD products in North America while managing risk appropriately.
  • Focus on customer outcomes
  • Communicate closely with factories to optimize operations.
  • Negotiate with internal business units and channel partners.
  • Closely manage financial results and performance metrics
  • Create and execute annual operational plans to achieve forecasts and objectives.
  • Operate effectively in a complex organization. Gain the support of business unit leaders, sponsors, and other stakeholders to achieve objectives.
  • Collaborate with management, peers, marketing, colleagues, business units and other stakeholders.
  • Assist R&D and Marketing with product management and strategic introduction of new products.

Strategy and Business Planning:
  • Create and implement strategics plan for North American channel strategy that aligns and supports regional and global business objectives.
  • Participate and provide input into the strategic planning process for appropriate EMBD business units.
  • Provide information on customers, markets, technology development, business conditions, etc. using the appropriate reporting format and/or system.
  • Represent Panasonic and develop external professional network through industry events, industry organizations, consortiums, customer meetings, etc.

Corporate Manager Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and government laws. Ensure requisite training is completed on time for you and your team.
  • Exercise financial responsibility in areas like travel expenses, capital expenditures, salaries, etc. Manage to your budget and provide reporting as required. Comply with corporate and business unit fiscal adjustments as needed.
  • Generate accurate and timely reports (forecasts, business reports, sales reports, budgets, etc.) as required by management.
  • Use and be functionally competent with required, processes, systems, software, etc.
  • Represent Panasonic values in a professional and competent manner internally and when working with customers, partners, conferences, and other external interactions.

Scope:
  • Manages North America Sales activities in alignment with the goals and strategies of the US R&M group, the EMBD business units, EMBD management and Panasonic Industrial Company.
  • Manage Business Unit distributors and other external business partners involved in North American sales activities.
  • Create and execute operational plans and is accountable for results. Manage expenses within your assigned budget. Provides timely and accurate reporting and communication.
  • Collaborates with management, other functional group managers, business unit managers and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Compliance with company policies and appropriate government laws.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring:

Education & Experience:
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the electronics manufacturing industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years in sales, marketing, or related roles can be concurrent with experience above.
  • A demonstrated understanding and ability to navigate the global supply chain complexities in the electronic materials industry.
  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred.
  • English /Japanese speaking is required.

Other Requirements:
  • Basic business computer operation functionality. (MS Office, email, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
  • Computer, smartphone, and other device skills required to accomplish the job.
  • Ability to learn and operate company devices, systems, software, etc.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed, including a valid passport, clear driving record and credit score. Travel is approximately 25%

The wage range of $145,000 - $169,000 is just one component of Panasonic's total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual's knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives.
