Full Job Description
Reporting directly to the President, Assembly Materials Division, the North America Sales Director is responsible for leading the sales team, create the organization's sales strategy and drive revenue growth. This role focuses on managing and holding accountable a North American Sales team to implement effective sales processes, tools, and techniques to achieve defined performance metrics while fostering strong customer relationships and identifying opportunities for business expansion. The incumbent also monitors industry trends, competitor activity, and customers needs to create strategic action plans that strengthen customer retention and support continued growth. Responsibilities: This position can be based in Rhode Island, El Paso or Montréal. The North America Sales Director - USA, Canada and Mexico's responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Directly managing the sales force team of across North America including hiring, terminations, setting targets, training, and reviewing their work; - Working closely with the President to set goals and hold the sales force accountable by frequent assessments; - Coordinating sales efforts and providing assistance and guidance at potential and existing accounts throughout North America; - Working closely with the President to drive gross margin growth; - Establishing the corporate guidelines for sales activities; - Working with the Business Development Team in developing, promoting, and maintaining a cohesive work ethic towards strategic accounts; - Ensuring fluent and efficient coordination with between all Sales Managers; - Assisting the marketing department to develop effective marketing programs; - Preparing forecasting information; - Participating in pricing approval to ensure profitability and sustainability of the accounts; - Managing the sales team expenses efficiently; - Interfacing with credit department as necessary; - Attending industry trade shows; - Effectively managing the distributor and manufacturers' representative programs. Qualifications: - Candidates should have a thorough understanding of soldering materials and the electronic assembly (PCBA) processes as well as knowledge and experience of the decision-making process within these complex potential customers. - Candidate should have a proven record of selling and managing consumable products within the industry preferably with solder and assembly materials. - Candidate should possess a minimum of 10 years background in sales and 3+ years in managing a sales force in North America with a proven record of understanding how to plan and execute sales and marketing tactics and programs. Experience in these areas should be within the past 2 years; - Must be able to travel within North America on a regular basis; - Undergraduate degree or above; - Fluency in English, Spanish and French would be an asset; - Excellent knowledge of the culture of the North American market.
