Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and visionary North America Nuclear Sector Lead to drive strategic initiatives and operational excellence across our nuclear portfolio throughout the United States. This is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing all nuclear sector operations, regulatory compliance, and business development across North America. The ideal candidate will bring decisive leadership, deep industry expertise, and a commitment to safety and innovation to this role.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategic vision and business plans for the nuclear sector across North America, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and market opportunities
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Oversee regulatory compliance and maintain relationships with key regulatory bodies, including the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), ensuring adherence to all applicable standards and requirements
  • Manage operational performance, safety protocols, and risk mitigation strategies across all nuclear facilities and projects
  • Drive business development initiatives, identify growth opportunities, and establish partnerships to expand market presence in the nuclear sector
  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to inform strategic decision-making and positioning
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between operations, engineering, finance, and external stakeholders to achieve organizational goals
  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports, performance metrics, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and the board
  • Champion a safety-first culture and ensure implementation of best practices in nuclear operations and security protocols
  • Manage budgets, P&L responsibilities, and resource allocation to optimize operational efficiency and profitability
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.


Qualifications
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in the nuclear energy sector, with demonstrated expertise in operations, project management, or regulatory affairs
  • 5+ years of senior leadership experience managing large teams and complex organizational functions
  • Proven track record of strategic planning, business development, and successful execution of major initiatives in the nuclear industry
  • In-depth knowledge of Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regulations, industry standards, and compliance frameworks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex technical and regulatory information
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with regulatory agencies, government officials, and industry partners
  • Experience with P&L management, budget planning, and financial analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change and drive innovation in a highly regulated environment
  • Project management expertise with proficiency in managing multiple concurrent initiatives
  • Strong understanding of nuclear safety culture, security protocols, and operational best practices
  • Ability to travel throughout North America as required for business operations
  • Preferred: Experience with nuclear fuel cycle management, decommissioning projects, or waste management
  • Preferred: Familiarity with emerging nuclear technologies and advanced reactor designs
  • Preferred: Background in business development and market expansion within the energy sector
  • Preferred: Security clearance or ability to obtain necessary clearances for nuclear sector work


Additional Information

*On-site presence and requirements may change depending on our client's needs.

The base salary range for this role is $175K - $325K USD. This range reflects the company's good faith estimate of the base salary for this position at the time of the posting. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, employees may be eligible for bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
