Job Summary:Geisinger's Heart & Vascular Institute is seeking a dedicated and experienced Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join our team as the Associate Program Director for our Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Training Program located at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania.
Job Duties:This role combines clinical excellence with a passion for education, providing an exceptional opportunity to shape the future of cardiovascular care.
- Clinical Duties:
- Perform and interpret diagnostic tests such as echocardiograms, stress tests, and electrocardiograms (EKGs).
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with cardiovascular conditions.
- Provide lifestyle recommendations and prescribe medications to manage heart conditions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educational Duties:
- Assist in the administration and leadership of the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Training Program.
- Mentor and supervise fellows, residents, and medical students.
- Develop and deliver educational content, including lectures, workshops, and seminars.
- Participate in curriculum development and program evaluation to ensure high-quality training.
- Administrative Duties:
- Support the Program Director in maintaining accreditation standards and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Participate in recruitment and selection of fellowship candidates.
- Engage in scholarly activities, including research and quality improvement projects.
Qualifications:- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification in cardiovascular disease.
- Valid medical license to practice in Pennsylvania.
- Proven experience in non-invasive cardiology.
- Demonstrated interest and experience in medical education.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:- Previous experience in a fellowship training program.
