OverviewGovCIO is currently hiring for the NITC Aviation Training Division Lead. This is an onsite position in Pensacola, FL.
Responsibilities
The NITC Aviation Training Division Lead oversees aviation training activities at NAS Pensacola or NAS Whiting Field and provides day-to-day direction to Aviation Training Division instructors. The Lead manages division schedules, supports student physical-readiness activities, and provides Pilot, NFO, or WSO instruction as operationally required.Responsibilities: Oversee Aviation Training Division operations at the assigned NITC location. Provide direction, coordination, and operational support to Aviation Training Division instructors. Provide Pilot, Naval Flight Officer, or Weapon Systems Officer instruction as needed and within the Lead's qualifications. Monitor and support international military students during swim and physical-fitness training. Develop weekly and monthly course schedules and provide them to the NITC Officer in Charge, Deputy Officer in Charge, and Contracting Officer's Representative. Coordinate instructional coverage, resolve scheduling conflicts, and support consistent delivery of approved curricula. Provide administrative support required by the task order.
Qualifications
Bachelor's with 12+ years (or commensurate experience)
Required Skills and Experience
- Clearance Required: None
- Master's degree in management, business, education, engineering, or a closely related field and at least eight years of experience managing military training and education programs; or a bachelor's degree in one of those fields and at least 12 years of combined experience managing military training and education programs.
- Experience as a military aviator serving as a pilot or flight officer.
- Demonstrated experience leading instructors or aviation-training personnel.
- Ability to develop and manage complex course schedules and coordinate instructional resources.
- Ability to provide aviation instruction within the individual's qualifications.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience leading U.S. Navy or Department of War aviation training programs.
- Experience instructing or supporting international military students.
- Experience overseeing swim, physical-fitness, or other aviation student-readiness activities.
