Full Job Description
Nissan or Import Brand Automotive Service Technician

Are you an experienced automotive technician looking for a shop where you can put your existing skills to work?

We are especially interested in hearing from technicians with experience working on Nissan, Infiniti or other import brands, as well as experienced technicians from other franchised dealerships or quality independent repair facilities.

If you already have solid automotive skills, we can help you build the Nissan-specific knowledge and factory training you need to continue advancing your career.
Schedule & Pay:
  • Full-time, on-site, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (hours may vary)
  • Top Technicians: Earn up to $130,000 annually, with our technician team averaging more than $80,000 in annual earnings. Individual earnings vary based on experience, skill level, diagnostic ability, productivity, and the scope and complexity of repairs performed.
  • At Wendle Nissan, we recognize that warranty work can be a significant part of a dealership technician's workload.
    • Nissan warranty repairs are paid at an additional $5 per flagged hour.
  • We believe technicians should have the opportunity to increase their earning potential as their skills, certifications, productivity, and contribution to the shop grow.

Qualifications:
We're looking for someone who:
  • Has professional automotive repair experience
  • Can perform general repairs independently
  • Has solid diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
  • Understands electrical and drivability diagnosis
  • Takes pride in fixing vehicles correctly
  • Documents repair findings clearly
  • Works well with Service Advisors, Parts, and other technicians
  • Is willing to continue manufacturer training
  • Has their own basic automotive technician tools
  • Has a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record, since road testing vehicles is part of the position

Nissan, Infiniti, ASE, or other manufacturer certifications are valuable, but we are also interested in experienced technicians who have not yet had the opportunity to become Nissan-certified.

Build Your Nissan Career
Nissan provides factory technician training and opportunities to continue developing your skills and certifications.

For someone coming from another brand, this can be an opportunity to take the experience you already have and build a new manufacturer specialty without starting your automotive career over.

Responsibilities:
Our Nissan technicians work on a combination of maintenance, customer-pay repair, diagnosis, warranty work, and manufacturer campaigns. Your day may include:
  • Diagnosing check-engine lights, electrical concerns, warning lights, noises, and drivability issues
  • Performing scheduled maintenance and general vehicle repair
  • Diagnosing and repairing Nissan vehicle systems
  • Completing Nissan warranty repairs, recalls, and service campaigns
  • Using manufacturer diagnostic equipment and technical information
  • Inspecting vehicles for needed maintenance, safety, and repair items
  • Clearly documenting findings and recommended repairs
  • Working with Service Advisors and Parts to keep repairs moving efficiently
  • Verifying completed repairs and performing road tests when needed
  • Participating in Nissan technical training and certification programs

Benefits & Career Development
Eligible employees receive a competitive benefits package that includes:
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid time off
  • 401(k) plan with discretionary company match
  • Flat rate bonus
  • Longevity bonus
  • Company-paid life insurance
