Job Summary:

The Timekeeper (Night Shift) will perform timekeeping and craft payroll activities for the Micron NY1 Fab 20 Project. This position will be based at the project site in Clay, New York and will be regularly assigned to the night shift.

The position requires the ability to handle confidential employee and payroll information, exercise sound ethical judgment, and provide responsive customer service in a fast-paced construction-site environment. The successful candidate must be dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently during night-shift operations while coordinating effectively with the Finance and Accounting, Labor Relations, Human Resources, Construction supervision, and the day-shift Timekeeping team.

The Timekeeping team works in alignment with craft work schedules. This position requires regular night-shift work and the flexibility to work overtime, Saturdays, occasional Sundays, and holidays based on project requirements. Shift schedules and working hours may be adjusted as construction execution and craft staffing needs evolve.

Major Responsibilities:

• Perform night-shift craft timekeeping and payroll processing.
• Maintain employee, attendance, classification, shift, and payroll records.
• Reconcile badge scans and daily time records, resolve exceptions, and meet payroll deadlines.
• Support craft onboarding, badging, site access, reporting, and payroll inquiries.
• Coordinate outstanding matters with project functions and the day-shift Timekeeping team.
• Support payroll reconciliations, audits, and certified-payroll reporting while protecting confidential information.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• A University Hire with less than 1 year of experience or 4-5 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Previous experience in timekeeping, payroll, project accounting, labor administration, or a related workforce-support role.
• Working knowledge of timekeeping and payroll processes, including attendance, classifications, straight time, overtime, and payroll corrections.
• Strong data-entry, reconciliation, and recordkeeping skills, with close attention to accuracy and deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook, and the ability to learn electronic timekeeping, payroll, and badging systems.
• Ability to identify and resolve routine timekeeping discrepancies using badge-scan, attendance, and timesheet records.
