The hourly rate for this position is $$37-$43/hr per hour.
This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
The hours for this postion are Mon-Thurs 4pm-2:30am

Job summary
Eaton is currently seeking a Production Supervisor to join our team. This position is based at our Airdrie, Alberta facility.
Position overview
Reporting to the Fabrication manager, the Production Supervisor will be responsible for overall plant operations and supervision across all production areas during the night shift, with full accountability for safety, production execution, and issue escalation.
The candidate will also lead key manufacturing processes/initiatives to ensure that production, customer service, and Continuous Improvement objectives are met, in accordance with safety, quality, and customer requirements. This individual will provide coaching and direction to their team, while driving accountability in the business, ultimately supporting the organization in achieving its business level and strategic goals. The incumbent must be a natural leader, motivator, hands-on problem solver, and effective mentor.
Additionally, the Production Supervisor will assist cost improvement initiatives and drive team participation. This individual will conduct job specific training for new/existing employees and maintain process checks within their department(s) by championing implementation and continual improvement for assigned groups.
In this function you will
Responsibilities related to People Management and/or Coordination
• Serve as a role model in the areas of leadership, teamwork, customer focus, continuous improvement, safety and environmental stewardship to ensure alignment with Eaton values
• Serve as the senior leader on site overnight with authority for operational and emergency decision-making
• Supervise all shop floor employees across departments and adjust labor allocation based on shift needs to maximize service, productivity, and quality
• Prepare & deliver annual performance reviews for assigned shop floor employees, provide ongoing performance feedback, and address any performance concerns
• Act as the primary coordination point during night shift for all functions including production, maintenance, quality, and materials
• Manage staffing, attendance, and call-ins to ensure adequate coverage
• Open and close the plant and assume full facility responsibility including safety incidents and escalation
Responsibilities related to Process Management and/or Development
• Work with Production Manager to plan capacity and execute production plan
• Drive execution of the production plan ensuring schedule attainment, productivity, and downtime response
• Reduce scrap, rework, and overtime while meeting safety and quality objectives
• Own health and safety performance on shift including incident response, reporting, and compliance activities
• Provide structured shift handover communication to day shift including key issues, performance, and escalations
Responsibilities related to Training
• Review and deliver training to night shift operators related to safety, quality, productivity, Continuous Improvements, human resources, etc.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• College diploma in business, engineering, or related discipline from an accredited institution.
• Minimum two (2) years of supervisory experience.
• This position does not offer relocation. Candidate must live within 80km of Airdrie.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
• University degree in business, engineering or related discipline preferred from an accredited institution.
• Three (3) or more years of supervisory experience.
• Three (3) or more years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Skills:

• Strong computer skills and intermediate experience utilizing Excel to run reports.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational, conflict resolution, & problem-solving skills.
• Results driven; data-based decision making - Six Sigma Green or Black Belt would be considered an asset.
• Knowledge of plant manufacturing/fabrication processes & Lean manufacturing principles.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and situations to achieve superior customer service.
