Neonatal Program manager (NPM). The NPM is responsible for the provision of Neonatal care services, has the authority and responsibility to monitor the provision of Neonatal patient care services from admission, stabilization, operative intervention(s) if applicable through discharge, and inclusive of the QAPI Program.
The NPN will collaborate with the Neonatal Medical Director in areas to include developing and/or revising policies, procedures and guidelines; assuring staff competency, education, training and the QAPI Program.
Leads and participates in the Neonatal QAPI meeting and ensures the QAPI Program is specific to maternal and fetal care and remains ongoing with data driven outcomes.
Develops collaborative relationships with other NPM's in designated facilities within the applicable Perinatal Care Region.
Responsible for the development, implementation, evaluation, management and oversight of organization's inpatient Neonatal Quality and Clinical Outcomes activities. Coordinates and oversees these activities through subordinate managers/staff and with collaborative relationships with other departments and services.
Responsible for preparation of management reports and operating procedures relative to quality and clinical outcomes. Coordinates and oversees strategies that leverage and integrate quality improvement methodologies that demonstrate a positive impact on productivity, cost, quality and timely delivery of services.
Works with leadership and key institutional stakeholders in the design, planning, and assessment of quality and improvement that support institutional goals of improving population health. Integrates and applies measurement and analysis to evaluate and optimize quality as well as efficiency of clinical care pathways based on the development of a quality improvement and reporting system.
Education & Experience- Bachelor's of Science in Nursing is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in a health-related field is required
- Master's degree preferred
- Must be clinically active in NICU care at the facility where NICU services are provided
- Five years of Neonatal experience is required
- Thorough knowledge of healthcare regulations, quality management, process improvement, and reporting standards required
Licensure & Certification- Certification by a national accrediting body in Neonatal Care is required
