Job Summary

UW Health in northern Illinois is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our growing inpatient Gastroenterology team in Rockford, Illinois. This is an exciting opportunity to help build a leading digestive health program at the region's preferred health system.

As part of our team, you will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a variety of gastrointestinal conditions. The ideal candidate will have experience in a GI setting and be passionate about patient care.

Position Highlights:
  • Flexible Scheduling
  • Collaborate with a team of advanced gastroenterologists to provide care at our 350-bed UW Health SwedishAmerican Hospital
  • Work alongside a comprehensive interdisciplinary cancer team at the Carbone Cancer Center Rockford, with over 70% market share.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including quaternary support from UW Health University Hospital
  • Serve a primary market population of 350,000 and a secondary market of over 750,000.

Qualifications:
  • Active NP or PA license in Illinois (or the ability to obtain one prior to hire).
  • Experience in gastroenterology is preferred, but new graduates with a strong interest in GI are encouraged to apply.
