Job Summary

Are you an out-of-the-box storyteller who enjoys working across multiple platforms and different methods of storytelling? Are you looking to produce programming that matters? News 12 has an exciting opportunity to share! We are seeking a Senior Executive Producer to manage our News 12 Originals team. This team produces cross-platform series, Crime Files, Revealed, Haunted Tri-State and others. News 12 Originals is the award-winning production team creating innovative programming across our locals channels and regional OTT platform, News 12NY. The successful candidate will be an outstanding storyteller and possess the ability to work cross-functionally with various teams and stakeholders. This is a leadership position that requires exceptional team management, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and executive News 12 Original programming from initiation to completion, ensuring on-time delivery and meeting budget and quality standards.
  • Lead a team of producers, editors, and cameras to create and execute unique, compelling content.
  • Monitor and track project progress, providing regular updates to senior management and stakeholders, in addition to feedback to the staff.
  • Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines, adjusting as necessary to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, deliverables, and milestones.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Ensure editorial and production values of news programming meet News 12's high standards in news and storytelling to drive viewership, grow the audience, and strengthen the brand.

Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $102,816.00 - $168,912.00 / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
