What will be expected of our new graduates?

As a new graduate at ENERCON, you will be expected to actively engage in various tasks and responsibilities crucial to the success of our projects. You will be tasked with learning and applying codes and standards for designing projects, being organized and efficient, having a positive attitude towards learning and feedback, collaborating with senior engineers for field data collection, and adapting to new software systems. It's important to ask questions, use available resources, and connect classroom knowledge with practical industry work. Meeting deadlines and managing multiple tasks simultaneously are critical aspects of your role.

What are skills that would be helpful to your success as a new graduate?
  • Graduated with a bachelor's or master's degree from an ABET- accredited school in one of our listed preferred majors.
  • Available to start on an agreed upon date between May 2026 and July 2027.
  • Preferred Courses: Circuit Analysis (could be called Circuits I, Circuits II, Intro to Circuits, etc.), Power Systems (could be called Electric Power, Electric Machines, Power Systems, Power Engineering, etc.), and Control Systems.
  • A solid working foundation with your major's core concepts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
  • Ability to effectively problem solve.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders at client sites.
  • Must be able to effectively navigate client sites to conduct walkdowns.
  • Must be able to work outside.
  • Ability and willingness to travel for client and company projects and/or meetings.

Interview and Employment Requirements:
  • Completion of pre interview assessments.
  • College transcript submitted for anyone under 1 year of experience post-graduation.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, ENERCON and client-specific background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) checks according to company and client policies.
