New Customer Marketing Manager

This role is a highly collaborative, execution-focused marketing position centered on driving new user acquisition ("pet parents") for the Mars Petcare portfolio. The position serves as the critical bridge between strategic brand vision and operational reality, managing the end-to-end execution of recruitment, sampling, and multi-dimensional promotional programs.

The ideal candidate will excel at managing agency partners, collaborating across diverse internal teams (Brand, CRM, Shopper Marketing, Insights), and maintaining strict budget and performance discipline to increase brand share and category ownership.

What are we looking for?
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 4+ years in consumer recruitment, sampling, CRM, shopper marketing, or comparable acquisition or trial marketing roles; brand-side or agency-side experience valuable.
  • CPG experience strongly preferred - pet care, food, or comparable repeat-purchase categories, most relevant.
  • Demonstrated experience executing omnichannel recruitment or sampling programs at meaningful scale.
  • Hands-on experience with sampling platforms or comparable acquisition tools.
  • Experience working in matrixed environments with brand, agency, partner, and internal teams.
  • Experience with digital, social, and in-store analytics
  • Strong communication skills (oral, written, listening). This includes ability to give effective presentations to all levels of management.
  • High levels of interpersonal skills, specifically in influencing without direct authority, resolving conflict, and creative problem solving.
  • Proficient in managing complex projects. Well organized, good at prioritization, attentive to details, clear oral and written communicator.
  • Marketing Campaign Management. Must have a solid understanding of marketing organizations, operations, creative and media planning.
  • Campaign leadership skills. End-to-end campaign development.
  • Proven analytic skills. Must be comfortable mining and analyzing data, then developing clear and actionable conclusions/recommendations turning consumer and social insights into strategic thinking.

What would be your key responsibilities?

Program Execution
  • Owns end-to-end execution of recruitment and sampling programs for assigned brands or campaigns: brief development, partner coordination, fulfillment management, in-flight monitoring, post-program reconciliation
  • Translates program strategy into the operational details that make programs ship cleanly
  • Analyze the pet parent category in partnership with Insights team and National Recruitment team to identify key moments within the pet parent journey to maximize our reach of new pet parents, providing recommendations on moments where Mars can win with promotions and drive meaningful brand share growth and category ownership
  • Lead inter-agency teams to develop multi-dimensional programs that drive multi-brand growth within the Petcare portfolio, including concept and creative development, tactical recommendations, and overall program execution
  • Successfully plan against and manage annual budgets, balancing working and non-working dollars for campaign optimization to drive business growth


Brand Team Partnership
  • Primary recruitment-side partner to assigned brand teams; sits in their planning rhythm
  • Ensures recruitment programs are aligned with brand priorities and integrated into broader campaign timing


Creative & Messaging Coordination
  • Partners with content operations and brand teams on the creative asset's recruitment programs require sample messaging, follow-up emails, landing pages, retargeting creative
  • Briefs production needs and ensures creative ships to spec


Retailer & Partnership Coordination
  • Partner with shopper marketing teams to drive comprehensive promotional calendars and support for assigned brands annually, influencing in-store activations and retailer specific partnership opportunities


Performance Tracking & Reporting
  • Monitors program performance in real time; flags pacing or conversion issues; recommends adjustments
  • Closes out programs cleanly: budget reconciliation, performance reporting, learnings capture, partner debriefs


Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Day-to-day partner to brand teams, the Audience Manager, CRM, content operations, shopper marketing, and Marketing Systems & Enablement
  • Lead cross-functional engagement and inter-agency teams to develop multi-dimensional program


This role is based in Franklin, TN with regular in-office collaboration expected. Flexibility is a key enabler-empowering associates to make choices that support both business outcomes and personal needs, including occasional remote work.
