Neuroscience and Anatomy Educator - Faculty

Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution, invites applications for the position of Neuroscience and Anatomy Educator within the Department of Anatomy & Cell Biology in Rush Medical College.
Primary Responsibilities:
• This position is within the Department of Anatomy & Cell Biology in Rush Medical College.
• Direct and teach Neuroscience in the medical preclerkship curriculum.
• Teach Gross Anatomy in the medical preclerkship curriculum.
• Educate medical students and other health professions learners.
• Participate in college and university service activities.
• Maintain scholarly productivity through medical education research/scholarship or biomedical sciences research.
Ideal Candidate:
• Trained in the neurosciences and/or anatomical sciences and interested in a teaching-focused academic career.
• Holds a PhD or equivalent terminal degree in a related field such as anatomy, neuroscience, histology, or cell biology.
• Has 2+ years of higher education teaching experience (preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with human donor dissection.
• Knowledge of diverse teaching methods and educational pedagogies.
• Experience with student assessment and evaluation strategies.
• Curriculum design and development experience.

Rush offers competitive total compensation, including base pay, benefits, and incentive programs, for our employees. Compensation is commensurate with rank and experience and reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, knowledge and skills; relevant experience and training; education, certifications, and licensure; primary work location; and other business and organizational factors. Total compensation is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee and includes any incentive payments applicable to this role, as well as additional compensation such as sign-on bonuses and relocation allowances.

Pay Range: $105,000 - $190,000
