Network Release Manager, Enterprise Payment Debit (Hybrid)
The RoleAs a Network Release Manager for Debit networks, you will be responsible for managing the relationship between Capital One internal Debit stakeholders, Debit Processor release management resources, and network release management subject matter experts to ensure flawless delivery of quarterly EFT network releases. You will be asked to help establish a framework for ensuring releases are properly managed, risks are mitigated, and all affected parties are engaged, aligned, and effectively communicating. This role will require the ability to understand and communicate the technical processes and flow of information between participants in the Debit and ATM transaction processing ecosystem.
General Responsibilities- Accountable for the successful end-to-end coordination and implementation of quarterly Debit network releases
- Partner with networks to ensure timely receipt of quarterly network release requirements
- Facilitate deep dive sessions with networks and Capital One stakeholders to assess business and technical impacts and formulate a perspective on desired implementation of mandated and optional release components
- Coordinate discussions between Capital One and Debit Processor to align release intent and establish development, test, and production validation scope and schedule.
- Establish cadence and format for regular stakeholder interactions throughout the release cycle to ensure identification of critical needs/dependencies and that progress, risks, and issues are communicated clearly and in a timely manner
- Act as point of escalation for Network Release issues and effectively navigate the processor and network relationships and resources to quickly solve problems
- Create a robust approval process for each release
- Ensure coordination of sufficient and timely release testing
- Ensure coordination of sufficient and timely post production validation for each release
- Lead process design and analysis projects in concert with internal and external stakeholders
- Build strong relationships with the Processor and network counterparts and internal Debit business, operations, Fraud, product and tech stakeholders.
- Identify trends that have negative impact on operations and partner with vendors to proactively address problems and improve process
- Some travel may be required initially to learn and understand the processes
The ideal candidate will have- Professional experience interacting with payment networks in a debit card or credit card processing environments
Location:This role is hybrid, where you will be expected to spend 3 days per week working in office and the remainder of the week working virtually
Basic Qualifications- High school diploma, GED or equivalent certification
- At least 3 years of project or process management experience
- At least 4 years of release management experience
- At least 2 years of experience using Google Suite or Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree or Military experience
- At least 5 years of experience in process or project management
- At least 1 year of experience in payment network management or debit card transaction processing
- At least 4 years of experience coordinating with external stakeholders
- At least 2 years of experience utilizing Generative AI tools
- PMP, Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile certification

Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $134,400 - $153,300 for Manager, Process Management
Richmond, VA: $122,100 - $139,400 for Manager, Process Management
Wilmington, DE: $122,100 - $139,400 for Manager, Process Management
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
