Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Active Secret Clearance required.
• DoD 8570 compliant certification: CompTIA Security+, CASP, or CISSP is a must.
• CCNA or CCNP preferred, or equivalent certification from Juniper, Brocade, or Palo Alto.
• Proficiency in Cisco routing and switching design and configuration across Catalyst and Nexus platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Layer 2/3 routing protocols like OSPF, EIGRP, and HSRP.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications, especially Visio.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Network Lead and IT personnel with the design, implementation, and support of critical LAN/WAN networks.
• Develop and maintain configurations and standards for optimal network health.
• Document and resolve complex network issues, focusing on performance improvements.
• Create and maintain detailed network diagrams and documentation using Microsoft Visio.
• Test and evaluate network systems to proactively identify problems and implement improvements.
• Assist with the configuration and utilization of advanced monitoring tools such as NetScout and Wireshark.
• Provide ongoing network monitoring and troubleshooting to support mission requirements.
