"A Day in the Life"Located at the Corporate office in Livermore, California Based at our Corporate office in Livermore, California, the Network Engineer you will configure, maintain, collaborate and troubleshoot our Cisco-based network infrastructures integrated voice, video, collaboration, security, and data systems. You will also ensure the availability, security, and efficiency of network operations in the organization to include proactive monitoring and advising manager and team of alerts, network failure, or degradations that occur. Ability to open vendor support tickets with Cisco, various vendors, and data network carriers. Strong understanding of cabling requirements for facilities and ability to document needs and work with vendor to provide quotes and follow through until work has been completed. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Enterprise Cisco networking technology, including routing, switching, firewalls, VPN, and SASE configurations. Will generate and distribute network performance stats and monitor system output and utilization statistics for optimal function.
"What You'll Do"- Assists in the installation and maintenance of network communications, configuring various network devices and services
- Troubleshoot network issues within established guidelines
- Assist with network architecture, optimization, and cost management
- Design, implement and troubleshoot Wi-Fi and security infrastructure
- Perform asset management/maintenance functions

"Must Haves"- Minimum of 6-10 years' experience in Enterprise Network Engineering.
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience configuring, installing, and supporting Cisco Catalyst and Meraki network routers, switches, wireless access points.
- Minimum of 2-4 years' experience with Cisco SASE experience, designing, deploying, managing cloud-delivered security and software defined WAN architecture. Ideal candidate combines core routing and switching expertise with cloud security integration using Cisco SD-WAN and Cisco Umbrella/SSE.
- Advanced proficiency in Cisco SD-WAN components (vManage, vBond, vSmart, WAN Edge) and Cisco security solutions (Umbrella, Duo, Secure Firewall).
- Deep understanding of data networking principles including but not limited to: BGP, OSPF, MPLS, IPSec tunnels, QoS, TCP/IP stack behavior, firewall policies, SIP Trunks, and cloud management network administration/configuration.
- Ability to build and deploy scalable Cisco SD-WAN and SASE frameworks combining secure edge routing, cloud firewalls, and zero-trust network access (ZTNA).
- Experience with Cisco Call Manager, Call Gateways, SRST, Webex Calling, Webex Control Hub, or similar UCaaS administration is a plus.
- Experience administering Cisco Meraki Dashboard for security, SD-WAN, switching, wireless, monitoring, reporting, firmware management, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Solarwinds and Cisco Meraki Dashboard environments
- Experience with carrier installations and troubleshooting.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to present to an audience
- Ability to effectively interact with internal business users and external vendors
- Able to work independently and within a team environment to see projects through to completion
- Proven dedication to internal and external customer service
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with an ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Able to use sound and accurate decision-making skills
"Nice to Haves"- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related major preferred
- Cisco CCNA is a plus; Cisco Meraki Solutions Specialist, CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Security, or Cisco collaboration/Webex administration training is preferred
- ITIL Foundations certification is a plus
