Description
What You'll Do:The Network Engineer will be part of a team responsible for the design, implementation, security, and sustainment of the network infrastructure supporting Navy Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) training systems. In this role, you will maintain complex enterprise and tactical networks that enable distributed simulation environments, real-time data exchange, and large-scale combat training exercises involving Navy, Joint, and coalition participants.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise and tactical network architectures.
- Support classified and unclassified training networks.
- Configure routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and network management systems.
- Maintain network availability and performance across geographically dispersed training locations.
- Support connectivity between live platforms, simulators, command centers, and remote training participants.
- Implement boundary defense solutions and network segmentation.
- Maintain firewall rules and access controls.
- Support cybersecurity audits, vulnerability remediation, and RMF compliance.
- Monitor network traffic for anomalies and security incidents. Serve as a technical lead during major fleet and coalition training events.
- Monitor network health throughout exercises.
- Rapidly resolve connectivity issues affecting training realism and operational objectives.

Requirements
What You'll Bring: - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field and a minimum of six (6) years of professional experience designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise network infrastructures.
- Experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and network management systems within enterprise or Department of Defense (DoD) environments.
- Experience supporting classified and unclassified networks, including implementing network segmentation, boundary defense solutions, firewall rule management, and secure remote connectivity.
- Working knowledge of network monitoring, performance optimization, and troubleshooting techniques to maintain reliable connectivity across geographically dispersed locations.
- Experience supporting cybersecurity initiatives, including vulnerability remediation, RMF compliance, security audits, and implementation of DISA STIGs and other DoD cybersecurity requirements.
- Experience supporting operational events, exercises, or mission-critical activities requiring timely resolution of network issues to maintain system availability and performance.
Certification Requirements: - Current DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification required (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+, CCNA Security, GSEC, or equivalent).

Security Clearance Requirement:- This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret clearance. Selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Salary Range:- The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $135,000 - $150,000, commensurate with an individual's experience, qualifications, and skill set. ASEC is committed to providing fair and equitable compensation.
