We're looking for a talented
Network Engineer to join our team in
Washington, DC. This position will support a complex government client and will provide network operations and infrastructure support in a hybrid enterprise environment. In this role, you will help maintain connectivity, troubleshoot outages, and support secure, reliable operations across network systems and services.
Work Location:Hybrid - A mix of onsite and remote work.
Clearance: Must be US citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities: - Support daily operations of LAN, WAN, VPN, and related network infrastructure
- Troubleshoot outages, performance issues, and connectivity problems
- Support firewall, routing, switching, and network security activities
- Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and technical procedures
- Assist with infrastructure patching, compliance, and operational support
- Coordinate with engineering teams on changes, upgrades, and issue resolution
- Support incident response and escalation handling for infrastructure issues
- Document technical findings, actions taken, and recommended improvements
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Networking, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of network engineering or infrastructure support experience
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Experience supporting enterprise network environments
- Cisco networking technologies including routing and switching
- Firewall and VPN technologies
- Enterprise network troubleshooting and issue isolation
- Infrastructure documentation and operational support
- Hybrid cloud connectivity concepts
- Monitoring, escalation, and change support in enterprise environments
- CompTIA Security+
