GENERAL OVERVIEW:
Directs all clinical and administrative components for Anesthesia and provides anesthesia services within the scope of practice as needed.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provides leadership that promotes a professional work environment through sound management principles. (25%)
• Pursues performance improvement by monitoring and evaluating the quality and appropriateness of patient care. (20%)
• Practices sound fiscal management for department(s). (20%)
• Acts as department leader/liaison to facilitate coordination, communication, and problem resolution. (15%)
• Contributes to division, hospital, and health system goals. (10%)
• Responsible for professional development. (10%)
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum
• BSN Degree
• Certification as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists
• Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• Two years clinical/managerial experience
Preferred
• Master's degree

• ACLS Certification
• CPR – American Heart Association
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association.
