Full Job Description
Auria is looking to hire a Network Architect to support a classified mission operations program for the U.S. Space Force. This role leads all classified network design activities for a complex, multi-enclave ground system environment, working in close coordination with the Cloud Architect and Cybersecurity Lead to ensure network architecture supports authorization and integration requirements.

Primary work location is Colorado Springs, CO (hybrid). Travel to Government and Auria facilities may be required.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:

  • Define the classified network architecture for the program environment, including network segmentation, enclave boundaries, cross-domain solution interfaces, and secure transport design.
  • Provide network architecture inputs to authorization boundary documentation, ensuring on-premises and cloud network boundaries are accurately represented in the IATT package.
  • Collaborate with the Cloud Architect to align on-premises and cloud network design, ensuring consistency across the hybrid classified environment.
  • Provide network architecture inputs to Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and middleware layer design, ensuring integration touchpoints are fully defined.
  • Lead network engineering activities including design, configuration, optimization, and testing of LAN/WAN, VPN, VLAN, QoS, and classified enclave connectivity.
  • Ensure all network designs comply with DoW security requirements, DISA STIGs, and program-specific security control baselines.Produce network architecture documentation including block diagrams, interface specifications, and configuration baselines.
  • Support integration, test, and verification activities as the network architecture subject matter expert.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 10-15 years of experience in network architecture, design, and engineering on DoW or federal classified programs.
  • Expert knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VPN), network segmentation, and classified enclave design.
  • Experience with Cisco and/or Juniper routers and switches, firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Juniper), and TACLANE or equivalent encryption devices.
  • Familiarity with DoW STIG compliance requirements for network devices and cross-domain solution interfaces.
  • Strong documentation skills including production of ICDs, interface specifications, and network architecture drawings.

WHAT THE TEAM PREFERS:

  • Current U.S. Government TopSECRET clearance.
  • Experience supporting DoW, U.S. Space Force, or Space Systems Command programs.
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust network architecture and micro-segmentation in classified environments.
  • CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent Juniper network certifications.
  • Experience with ICD development and interface control processes on ground system programs.
  • Security+ CE, CISSP, or equivalent DoW 8140 certification.


PAY TRANSPARENCY: The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level. $135,401 - $180,000
