Job Title: Network Analyst, Senior

Purpose of the Role

The Senior Network Analyst is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the design, installation, and connectivity of computer and network systems to ensure the stable operation of the organization's IT assets. This role ensures the stability and integrity of voice, data, video, wireless, and cloud network services while developing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all new and existing network hardware, software, and communication links. The Senior Network Analyst will also help to resolve network end-user, hardware, and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion, while providing necessary end-user training.

What You'll Do:

Network Engineering & Architecture:

• Design and deploy company LANs, WANs, cloud networks, and wireless networks, including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and other related hardware.
• Establish best practices and policies for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network equipment.
• Manage and ensure the effectiveness of security solutions and cloud infrastructure, including IPS/IDS firewalls.

Monitoring, Troubleshooting & Support:

• Monitor and test network performance, deploying methodologies to provide performance statistics and reports, and troubleshooting problem areas as needed.
• Ensure the network connectivity of all servers, workstations, telephone equipment, fax machines, and other network appliances.
• Perform server and security audits, as well as system backups and recovery.
• Oversee the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end-user workstation hardware and software, providing direct end-user support and problem resolution.

Projects & Technical:

• Collaborate with management and department leaders to assess short and long-term network capacity needs, ensuring capacity meets existing and future requirements.
• Conduct research and make recommendations on network products, services, protocols, and standards to support procurement and development efforts.
• Assess, approve, and administer all equipment, hardware, and software upgrades, and plan the installation of remote hardware and software across the organization's network.

Administration:

• Practice network asset management by maintaining network component inventory, related documentation, and technical specification information.
• Develop, implement, and approve all network administration, management, configuration documentation, policies, procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
• Plan and assist management in budgeting for network hardware and software procurement.
• Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure products and services.

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, system administration, information systems management, or a related discipline.
• Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCIE , Microsoft Azure Solution Architect as considered an asset
• 6-8 years of experience in Networking Technologies, with 5+ years of hands-on technical experience building and supporting infrastructure.
• Strong experience in networking concepts, protocols, and technologies including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, F5 load balancers, Palo Alto firewalls, Forescout appliances, Infoblox IPAM/DNS, Cisco Meraki/Nexus/Catalyst/UCSM
• Experience in NOC, network automation and SME supporting enterprise level infrastructure and datacenters is considered an asset

Salary range: $81,431 - $103,825 CAD annually (commensurate with experience)
