JOB SUMMARYSeeking a senior WAF Architect to lead the architecture design and migration strategy for enterprise Web Application Firewall and application ingress on public cloud environments. This role involves owning target state designs, migration approaches, security posture decisions, and presenting technical narratives to architecture review boards. Collaboration with delivery engineers, application owners, cloud platform teams, and client security compliance functions will be essential to successfully deliver WAF solutions.
Key Responsibilities• Lead architecture design and migration strategy for enterprise Web Application Firewall and application ingress on public cloud.
• Own target state designs and migration approaches.
• Make security posture decisions.
• Develop and present technical narratives to client architecture review boards.
• Collaborate with delivery engineers, application owners, cloud platform teams, and client security compliance functions to deliver WAF solutions.
Required Qualifications• Minimum of 14+ years of experience.
• 10-15 years of experience working with WAF and security tools.
• Hands-on experience with at least one of the following tools: F5, NetScaler, Cloudflare, Akamai.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure networking, including VNet and load balancers.
• Strong knowledge of web security risks (OWASP Top 10) and API security.
• Experience in moving systems from on-premises to cloud or switching security vendors, including planning cutover and rollback.
• Key skills include WAF (Web Application Firewall) and DDoS protection (F5).
