Torch Technologies is seeking a
NET/NEF Operations Specialist to join our team and support JIATF 401's Counter Small Unmanned Aircraft System (C-sUAS) mission. This role is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of New Equipment Testing (NET) and New Equipment Fielding (NEF) activities to ensure successful integration of new capabilities into operational environments with minimal disruption and full mission alignment.
As a NET/NEF Operations Specialist, your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:- Support the development and implementation of NET/NEF strategies aligned with JIATF 401 C-sUAS mission objectives.
- Coordinate with leadership and stakeholder teams to support project scope, schedules, resource planning, and execution activities.
- Create and maintain project documentation including schedules, milestones, deliverables, and risk mitigation plans.
- Travel to operational sites to support installation, configuration, testing, and fielding of C-sUAS equipment.
- Assist with transition of new equipment into operational use while minimizing downtime and ensuring mission continuity.
- Facilitate coordination across engineering, logistics, procurement, operations, and stakeholder teams.
- Ensure NET/NEF activities comply with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and DoD/JIATF policies.
- Support implementation and enforcement of safety protocols during testing, installation, and fielding operations.
- Conduct assessments and assist with identifying risks, gaps, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Monitor project activities and support corrective actions to address issues or schedule impacts.
- Prepare and deliver status updates, reports, and briefings for military and government leadership.
- Support development and maintenance of SOPs, technical manuals, project documentation, and fielding reports.
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to equipment fielding and integration.
- Support initiatives focused on improving NET/NEF processes, operational effectiveness, and execution efficiency.
Qualifications- U.S. Citizenship
- BS + 4 years of relevant experience OR
- AA/AS + 8 years of relevant experience OR
- HS/GED + 10 years of specialized relevant experience
- Active TS//SCI security clearance required (must be able to maintain)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with project management tools and software
- Familiarity with the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP)
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, dynamic operational environments
- Experience supporting technical, operational, or fielding-related projects
- Ability to work in both office and field environments
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE)
- Experience briefing military or civilian leadership
- Knowledge of base defense, layered defense systems, and BDOC operations
- Familiarity with cybersecurity vulnerabilities and operational risk considerations
- Experience supporting DoD or joint operational environments
