Full Job Description
Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end supplier relationship management for assigned indirect categories, including flawless performance, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with cross-functional team members as the regional category lead to align demand, priorities, and sourcing strategies.
  • Lead commercial supplier qualification to support selection, onboarding, and development of strategic suppliers across the region.
  • Drive supplier compliance with Micron's Supplier Code of Conduct and corporate social responsibility (CSR) expectations.
  • Translate market intelligence and pricing trends into actionable insights that inform team member decisions.
  • Build and maintain regional cost models and benchmarks to support should-cost analysis and sourcing arguments.
  • Lead negotiations and commercial actions (renewals, extensions, repricing, and supplier transitions) to deliver value, manage risk, and ensure continuity of supply.
  • Lead RFx/sourcing events through award and transition; coordinate with Global Category Supplier Managers to align regional and global strategies.
  • Incorporate savings targets, total cost considerations, and collaborator requirements into sourcing strategies and negotiations.
  • Define and implement contract strategies for assigned categories; negotiate terms, ensure alignment with requirements, and manage contract adherence.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with cross-functional teams through a customer-focused, helpful approach.
  • Establish a comprehensive view of supplier performance (cost, quality, delivery, and service) and drive improvement plans with collaborators and suppliers.
  • Lead supplier governance cadence (e.g., QBRs, annual evaluations, and executive reviews) to strengthen performance, accountability, and strategic alignment.

Enable faster, higher-quality decisions for collaborators by providing market insights, benchmarks, and clear commercial recommendations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, or procurement.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing effectively and operating with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Strong problem-solving, project management, and collaborator communication skills.
  • Experience negotiating and redlining contracts (e.g., service agreements, statements of work, and software licensing), in partnership with legal and collaborators.
  • Analytical approach with strong attention to detail; comfortable using data to drive decisions.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Interest in using AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and decision-making, where appropriate.
  • Experience leading RFx processes and negotiations across indirect spend categories in North America (e.g., services, IT, facilities, or professional services).
