Position Description & Qualifications

This opportunity will allow you to take a leadership role in supporting U.S. Navy Weapon System production for our ships and sailors. Join an integrated government-industry team as aNavy Missile Production Analyst in Arlington, VA to provide technical expertise to management of production material and processes for high tech systems. Use your expertise and collaborative skills to positively impact our national defense and make a difference in support of the world's greatest Navy.

Serco provides technical support to its customer, a defense acquisition program management office which is responsible for the development, acquisition, production, fielding, and lifetime support of surface ship missile systems. This mid-to-senior-level position has aspects of defense acquisition production management, systems engineering, and other related skills.

This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain and transfer your DoW Secret level Clearance

In this role you will:
  • Provide support across missile production, systems engineering, and project management activities under the guidance of senior program leadership.
  • Monitor and track missile production schedules, issues, risks, materials, and processes; support status reporting and analysis.
  • Assist the Production Director by supporting visibility into technical aspects of missile production and program execution.
  • Support the identification of risks and development of mitigation recommendations; help identify potential gaps and shortfalls in meeting production requirements.
  • Coordinate with acquisition and financial teams to assist in the preparation of budget documentation and related briefing materials.
  • Coordinate with Assistant Program Managers in the preparation and maintenance of project spend plans.
  • Work with missile or component OEMs to understand technical and budget considerations impacting production; coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to support production requirements and tasking.
  • Analyze requirements, acquisition plans, and contract terms to support evaluation of production status and program execution.
  • Apply systems engineering principles, as needed, to support system production and integration activities.
  • Support Test and Evaluation efforts by coordinating with program test teams to help assess system performance and production quality.
  • Support program office coordination related to integration of production missiles into new and existing ship classes and combat systems.
  • Provide meeting support, including developing agendas, preparing briefing materials, capturing meeting minutes, and assisting with documentation review and comment adjudication.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and other required systems to support program execution.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • An active DoW Secret security clearance
    • U.S Citizenship required
  • A Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Defense Acquisition, Naval Weapon Systems, Acquisition program office, or related industry experience
  • Excellent organizational, internal team communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite programs, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project
  • Experience with MS Office 365 collaborative tools such as SharePoint and Teams, and familiarity with data visualization tools
  • The ability to travel 25%

Additional desired experience and skills:
  • A Bachelor's degree in a technical or STEM discipline desired
  • TS Clearance eligibility or a prior TS Clearance is desired
  • Experience in Naval missile systems desired
  • Experience in Naval System production desired
