Job Description

COLSA is seeking qualified candidates for a Program/Project Management Analyst (Journeyman) to support a Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Program Management Activity (PMA) at Patuxent River, Maryland. In this role you will support execution of defense acquisition efforts and the delivery of mission-critical naval aviation capabilities.
  • Apply analytical techniques to evaluate program and project objectives, performance, and outcomes
  • Analyze requirements, program status, budgets, and schedules to support effective execution and decision-making
  • Perform management, technical, and business case analyses to inform program direction
  • Collect, complete, organize, and interpret data relating to aircraft/weapon/project acquisition and product programs
  • Track program/project status, milestones, and schedules, identifying risks and supporting mitigation efforts
  • Collaborate with Integrated Product Team (IPT) leads and industry partners to ensure messaging aligns with Program Office strategic goals and intent
  • Manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Attend weekly meetings with the prime and suppliers to discuss production issues and updates
  • Take detailed notes and screenshots for IPT leads
  • Manage Risks, Issues and Opportunities (RIO)
  • Prepare reports and status progress within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment
  • Assist IPT leads and team members with visit requests, coordination of events, and execution of meetings (Including the development and distribution of official minutes)
  • Participate as a member of the NGJ Production IPT and support IPT directed business meetings
  • Manage tasker trackers for NGJ Production IPT
  • Utilize procurement tools for development and management of PIDs and CDRLs
  • Work is primarily performed remote with a minimum of 1-day per week in the office
  • Occasional travel may be required

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, or relevant technical discipline or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a program, project, or management analyst supporting the DoD
  • Must have an active Secret clearance; U.S. Citizenship required
  • At least (1) year of NAVAIR program management, technical, and business analysis discipline, related to acquisition and life cycle management
  • Experience on a post Milestone C production program, preferably a platform program
  • Experience with schedules and those factors that affect cost and schedule (risk)
  • Some experience with cost modeling, contracts, budgeting etc.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience preparing reports, presentations, and executive briefings
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications
  • Active Top Secret clearance
  • Experience with AMS suite
  • Prior exposure to a production environment
  • Good critical thinking, problem solving, and organizational skills
