Position Summary

The National Vice President (NVP) of Field Asset Management provides executive leadership for the strategy, governance, and performance of facilities management and capital program execution across a national, multi-market real estate portfolio. This role oversees a leadership team and ensures consistent execution of capital improvements and repairs & maintenance programs aligned with enterprise objectives. The NVP is responsible for establishing operating models, driving operational excellence at scale, and aligning capital investments with business strategy, growth objectives, and long-term asset value creation. This position partners closely with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to optimize portfolio performance, manage risk, and ensure financial discipline across all markets.

Key Responsibilities

Executive Leadership & Organizational Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop leadership team

Capital Strategy & Financial Management
  • Lead enterprise capital planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking
  • Partner w/ Finance & executive leadership on long term planning & investment strategy
  • Drive cost discipline, value engineering, and operational efficiency
  • Ensure accountability for financial performance, reporting, and ROI
  • Monitor and improve KPIs aligned with company performance targets

Vendor Strategy & Governance
  • Define and implement national vendor management and procurement strategies
  • Ensure consistency in RFP processes, contracting standards, and vendor selection
  • Establish performance frameworks to drive vendor accountability for quality and cost
  • Optimize vendor network coverage and strategic partnerships
  • Maintain executive relationships with key vendors and industry partners

Operational Excellence & Process Improvement
  • Establish enterprise standards, systems, and governance processes
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance scalability and efficiency
  • Leverage data, systems, and analytics to improve performance visibility
  • Promote best practices and standardization across all regions
  • Ensure alignment of tools and processes to support consistent execution

Stakeholder Collaboration & Business Alignment
  • Partner with Operations, Finance, Legal, and Real Estate to align execution with business priorities
  • Influence decisions related to acquisitions, redevelopment, and lifecycle planning
  • Provide strategic reporting and communication to executive leadership
  • Ensure alignment between capital execution and enterprise strategy
  • Act as a senior advisor on asset management and facilities strategy

Technical & External Coordination
  • Oversee coordination with architects, engineers, consultants, and regulatory agencies
  • Ensure compliance with specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Drive consistency in design, construction, and delivery standards
  • Promote innovation in construction methods and project delivery
  • Ensure timely approvals and execution across jurisdictions

Emergency & Risk Management
  • Establish enterprise disaster response and recovery strategies
  • Ensure readiness for fire, flood, weather, and operational disruptions
  • Minimize customer and operational impact through proactive planning
  • Drive resilience and continuous improvement in risk mitigation
  • Ensure rapid restoration of operations across the portfolio
