Position Summary:We're looking for a National Sales Manager, Unattended Retail to lead and grow one of Just Born's strategic business channels.
This role is responsible for driving sales growth, expanding distribution, delivering profitable results, and accelerating innovation across the unattended retail and vending channel nationwide. Working closely with customers, broker partners, and cross-functional teams, the National Sales Manager will develop and execute data-driven growth strategies, identify new growth opportunities, and ensure exceptional marketplace execution.
The ideal candidate is a results-oriented sales leader with experience in unattended retail, a track record of growing distribution and bringing innovation to market, and the ability to build trusted partnerships that drive long-term success.
How You'll Impact Results:
• Develop and execute national sales strategies to achieve revenue, profit, distribution, and market share objectives in partnership with channel leadership.
• Lead key customer relationships through business reviews, strategic planning sessions, trade shows, and customer presentations.
• Expand distribution and secure placement of new products and innovations to drive category and business growth.
• Partner with brokers to drive distribution growth, planogram (POG) acceptance, and promotional execution.
• Plan, execute, and evaluate trade and promotional programs while maximizing return on investment and protecting profitability.
• Utilize sales, customer, syndicated, and point-of-sale (POS) data to identify opportunities, measure performance, and guide business decisions.
• Monitor key performance indicators, including All Commodity Volume (ACV) growth, distribution gains, void reduction, and trade promotion return on investment (ROI).
• Collaborate closely with Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Innovation teams to align strategies and deliver executional excellence.
• Represent Just Born at industry events and trade shows while strengthening customer and broker partnerships.
Your Qualifications That Will Ensure Success:
• Education & Certification:
o Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field preferred.
o Relevant professional sales training or certifications are a plus.
• Experience:
o 7+ years of progressive sales experience in unattended retail, consumer packaged goods (CPG), vending, convenience, foodservice, or a related industry.
o Proven success driving sales growth, expanding distribution, and bringing new products and innovations to market.
o Experience managing broker relationships and driving accountability for business results.
o Strong key account management experience, including business planning, customer presentations, negotiations, and relationship management.
o Experience leveraging syndicated data, customer point-of-sale (POS) data, and analytics to identify opportunities and drive performance.
o Experience managing trade investments and evaluating promotional effectiveness and return on investment (ROI).
• Skills & Knowledge:
o Strong financial acumen, including the ability to manage margins, profitability, and trade spending.
o Knowledge of category management principles, distribution strategies, and customer selling processes.
o Familiarity with sales analytics, syndicated data, and key performance metrics such as All Commodity Volume (ACV) growth, distribution gains, and trade promotion ROI.
o Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
o Ability to influence customers, broker partners, and cross-functional stakeholders.
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
o Ability to balance strategic thinking with disciplined execution in a fast-paced environment.
o Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50-70% to support customers, broker partners, and industry events across the United States.
