OverviewThis role is part of KPMG's National Advisory Resource Management Team, supporting initiatives that centralize, standardize, and automate processes to effectively deploy resources in support of high-quality, efficient Advisory engagements.
The National Resource Manager plays a key role in supporting resource allocation, forecasting, process consistency, and reporting across Advisory. The role works closely with Advisory leaders, engagement teams, Resource Management colleagues, and other internal stakeholders to help optimize deployment, improve visibility to capacity, and support consistent resource management practices.
The role also supports forecasting and capacity analysis related to hiring, attrition, promotions, utilization, and other workforce metrics to provide data-driven insights that improve resource allocation and decision-making.
What you will do- Support resource allocation and scheduling across assigned Advisory practices, working with engagement teams to understand staffing needs and identify available resources.
- Analyze utilization reports, capacity forecasts, variance reports, and other resource management insights to support leadership decision-making.
- Support monthly and annual headcount planning by providing input, reporting, and analysis to Advisory leadership.
- Work with engagement teams to support resource planning for new and existing client engagements, including updates to schedules, project assignments, and related planning tools.
- Provide early visibility to resource availability, capacity constraints, and potential staffing risks to Advisory leadership and the National Advisory Resource Management Team.
- Support staffing discussions and help facilitate resolution of resource conflicts where required.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with Advisory leaders, engagement teams, Resource Managers, and other key stakeholders across the business.
- Collaborate with National Resource Management colleagues to support consistency in resource management practices, processes, reporting, and tools.
- Support improvements to National Resource Management tools and processes, including the firmwide scheduling tool, standard reporting, and engagement planning processes.
- Support change management and adoption of new resource management tools, processes, and ways of working across Advisory.
- Support documentation of System of Quality Management controls, including follow-up with leadership and resources, and coordination with the National SoQM team on process updates and requirements.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve processes, reporting, tools, and ways of working.
What you bring to the role- 5+ years of experience in Resource Management, Workforce Optimization, operations, project coordination, or a related role.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with experience working with leaders, engagement teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholder needs.
- Comfort working in a matrixed organization or partnership environment.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide practical insights.
- A proactive, service-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail and follow-through.

- Experience with Power BI and resource forecasting or scheduling tools is an asset.
KPMG Ontario Pay Range InformationThe expected base salary range for this position is $76,000 to 110,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's location, skills, & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
