Description & Requirements

National Partner, Baker & McKenzie LLP, New York, New York: Help manage & implement complex cross-border transactions, including global carve-outs, spin-offs, post-acquisition integrations, global business expansions, legal entity rationalizations & similar transactions; draft & negotiate main transaction documents, including stock purchase agreements, asset purchase agreements & other necessary transaction related documents involving multinational clients operating in all sectors. Manage global cross-practice teams for successful closings of all aspects of the deal; spot & resolve legal issues; synthesize high volume comments from client, local counsel & other stakeholders. Must have a Juris Doctor (JD) (or foreign law degree/Master of Laws (LLM)) & 5 years of experience working as an attorney with a global law firm. Of experience required, must have 5 years with each of the following: (i) advising, coordinating & executing complex cross-border transactions; (ii) managing cross-border deals as lead associate; (iii) leveraging technology & project management tools; (iv) collaborating with tax advisors & other stakeholders; & (v) drafting complex deal documents & ancillary agreements. Experience may be gained concurrently. Must also be admitted to the New York bar. Pay range: $274,248-$480,000/year.

  • The US base compensation for this position is expected to be $274,248 to $480,000 (annually) if located in an office in the state of NY. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
