Woodard & Curran is seeking a dynamic and strategic marketing executive to lead our national Marketing & Communications function. Reporting to the Chief Strategy & Growth Officer, this role is responsible for shaping and executing the firm's marketing strategy in alignment with organizational objectives, overseeing a team of marketing professionals, and driving business growth through strategic marketing initiatives. With broad strategic influence and direct accountability for market expansion and the revenue pipeline, this role serves as the bridge between marketing and overall business strategy, ensuring that marketing efforts contribute measurably to Woodard & Curran's success. The National Marketing & Communications Leader will lead a geographically dispersed team of marketing professionals, while serving as a key member of the firm's Strategy and Growth leadership team.
Who Are We Looking For? We are seeking an experienced leader who excels at developing marketing strategies that drive growth, strengthen our brand, and support business development. Experience within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry is preferred, though candidates from professional services organizations are also encouraged to apply.

37 Ensure that the firm's expertise is effectively communicated in the marketplace, that marketing efforts directly contribute to sales results, and that the marketing team operates as a cohesive, forward-looking unit.
37 Define and drive a comprehensive marketing strategy that supports the firm's long-term business goals and growth targets.
37 Develop and execute annual marketing plans, set campaign priorities, and ensure that the marketing actions result in tangible beneficial outcomes including a healthy pipeline
37 Elevate the firm's market presence and brand as a leader in the field.
37 Oversee market research and competitive analysis to inform positioning and guide the firm's marketing message to address client needs and industry challenges.
37 Ensure a consistent, high-impact brand image across all channels - from proposals and presentations to digital media and public relations that results in tangible outcomes.
37 Establish and enforce marketing policies, processes, and budgets.
37 Drive innovation and effectiveness in marketing approaches.
37 Oversee internal and external communications, ensuring consistent messaging aligned with company values and business priorities.
37 Leverage market intelligence, analytics, and performance data to optimize marketing effectiveness and ROI.
37 Lead, coach, and develop a national team of marketing and communications professionals, including people leaders.
37 Foster collaboration across marketing, communications, business development, and operations teams.
What You Will Need to Succeed
37 Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
37 15+ years of progressive marketing and communications leadership experience.
37 Experience leading distributed teams.
37 Proven success in developing and executing strategic marketing campaigns that drive measurable business results.
37 Strong expertise in branding, communications, demand generation, and marketing analytics.
37 Experience supporting business growth through close partnership with sales and business development teams.
37 AEC industry experience preferred; professional services experience strongly valued.
37 Excellent leadership, communication, relationship-building, and strategic thinking skills.
$170,000 - $260,000 a year
This role has the option for remote work, and the anticipated pay range is flexible, depending on factors such as the employee's primary work location, skills, experience, and education. The following examples illustrate how the pay range for the same role can vary based on different locations.
Group A (ME, FL) = $170,000 - $200,000
Group B (PA, MA, MO, GA, RI) = $185,000 - $220,000
Group C (CT, Andover/Canton/Boston MA, CA, NY) = $205,000 - $260,000
This position's anticipated pay range is provided; the final exempt salary or non-exempt hourly pay will depend on experience level and consider a percentage-based geographic differential based on where the final candidate will be working. Geographic differentials recognize and reflect the cost of labor differences between geographic markets.
