National Key Account Manager
The Contractor National Key Account Manager will play a critical role in supporting and coordinating efforts across assigned national electrical contractor accounts. This position requires the ability to develop C-level relationships, lead strategic account planning and growth initiatives, and build trust with both internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in business development, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key industry players.
This is a preferred hybrid role. If you are located within 40mi from a Schneider Electric hub, this will require a hybrid work schedule of 2-3 days in the office as per our Return To People policy.What will you do?National Account Management:
- Establish and maintain relationships with key decision makers at target accounts. Focused on C-suite, and bridging to local leadership in close coordination with regional sales teams.
- Lead strategic account planning, including development of compelling value propositions and business development initiatives, to strengthen strategic partnerships with assigned accounts
- Monitor, report, and drive growth on the orders and sales performance with assigned accounts
Internal activation:
- Establish and coordinate an SE team across major locations and support functions, in close collaboration with all account owners.
- Influence and/or lead creation of initiatives needed to drive strategic partnerships inside BUs, support functions or other required internal stakeholders
Regional Contractor Channel Champion:
- Act as a champion for the contractor channel within assigned sales region, sharing relevant activities and connecting sales teams with industry engagement opportunities.
- Gather and communicate the voice of sales to inform the evolution of contractor strategies, maintaining close coordination with SEBP.
Who will you report to?- Director of US Contractor Channel, Power Distribution Sales
For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $128,800- $193,200 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Sales, or a related field; MBA preferred but not required.
- 7-10 years of experience in strategic account management, national account leadership, business development, or a similar customer-facing commercial role.
- Proven ability to develop and sustain C-level and senior leadership relationships across complex organizations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data to support account planning, opportunity identification, and performance reporting.
- Demonstrated success in managing large, multi-site accounts and executing long-term growth strategies.
- Ability to travel as needed to engage national accounts and regional teams (typically 25-50%, depending on business needs).
