Full Job Description
SUMMARY:

The National Account Manager (NAM) will report to the Director, Internet Reseller Channel. The NAM will work closely with the Director, Internet Reseller Channel and the VP of Sales to achieve sales and profit goals for the business segments and customers for which he/she is assigned. The NAM will be responsible for the development, management, and growth of some of S.P.Richard's top eCommerce customers, supporting all day-to-day related tasks/projects/initiatives. This position will require a moderate amount of travel to attend customer meetings and industry events as deemed necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Work with Director, Internet Reseller Channel and VP of Sales to develop business plans that will drive profitable sales growth within current assigned accounts.
  • Work with Director, Internet Reseller Channel and VP of Sales to negotiate and execute supplier agreements to ensure that they are consistent with SPR commitments. Assist in the management of legal contracts between SPR and assigned customers (where applicable).
  • Collaborate with SPR Manager of Customer Support to ensure that the customer service requirements are achieved and that issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Work with SPR credit department to ensure corporate account customer's skips and disputes are held to a minimum and also that SPR's accounts receivables are managed within company guidelines and expectations.
  • Develop and enhance relationships with existing customers, including CEO's, buyers and product managers to secure SP Richards' position as the preferred wholesaler in the business products category and uncover opportunities for growth.
  • Engage with Content team on product addition projects to ensure we meet deadlines and drive revenue through expanding our assortment on each customer's platform.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on promotional opportunities that will drive revenue through increased exposure and customize for each account
  • Work with internal teams to execute pricing strategies and implement optimal freight plans to increase revenue and optimize margins
  • Use analytics to monitor ongoing customer profitability and process accuracy and efficiency to achieve forecasted goals.
  • Work with SPR's operations' team to ensure compliance with relevant transactional metrics impacting key customer relationships.
  • Identify trends, opportunities, or issues with key customers that could have an impact on revenue or profitability.
  • Manage a pipeline of customer prospects, and secure new business relationships in order to achieve sales and profitability targets.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Four year college degree from an accredited institution. Sales and or customer service experience in a business-to-business customer segment.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages. Understanding of basic algebra.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to organize and prioritize.

Computer Skills:

PC proficiency, including Excel, and Word software and e-mail. Knowledge of Access is helpful.
