Designation Chief of Staff Location Any Reports to Global CTO Team / IC Role IC Role Purpose of your Role The Chief of Staff to the CTO serves as a strategic advisor and execution partner, enabling the CTO to operate at maximum effectiveness across business, technology, and organizational priorities. This role acts as the connective tissue between technology strategy and business outcomes, driving executive alignment, operational rigor, and enterprise-wide execution excellence. The role requires an individual who can seamlessly switch between strategic thinking and operational execution-translating complex technology initiatives into compelling business narratives, driving accountability across large-scale programs, and serving as a trusted sounding board to the CTO on key business and technology decisions. Summary of the role As a strategic extension of the Global CTO, the Chief of Staff will drive the rhythm of the technology organization by ensuring clarity of priorities, disciplined execution, and effective communication across stakeholders. The successful candidate will combine strong business acumen, analytical capability, and program leadership with exceptional storytelling and executive communication skills. They will synthesize complex information into actionable insights, facilitate informed decision-making, and ensure technology investments and initiatives remain aligned to business objectives. This role will partner closely with Engineering, Product, Security, Data, Finance, Legal, and Business leaders to track strategic priorities, challenge assumptions, identify risks, measure outcomes, and accelerate execution of critical transformation initiatives. A key expectation is the ability to represent the CTO's office credibly with senior stakeholders while translating technical discussions into business-relevant narratives for executive audiences. You will be accountable for Strategic Advisory & Business Partnership Serve as a trusted thought partner and sounding board to the CTO on strategic technology, business, organizational, and operational decisions. Develop a deep understanding of business priorities, market dynamics, and organizational challenges to help shape technology strategy and investment decisions. Provide structured analysis and recommendations to support executive decision-making. Identify opportunities, dependencies, risks, and trade-offs impacting strategic outcomes. (Key Responsibilities) Executive Storytelling & Communication Develop compelling executive narratives, board-level presentations, strategic papers, and leadership communications that articulate technology strategy, progress, risks, and business impact. Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and business-relevant messages tailored to diverse audiences. Drive communication consistency across the CTO Office and ensure alignment of messaging across leadership teams. Support executive forums, leadership reviews, townhalls, and board interactions through impactful content development and storytelling. Program Leadership & Execution Excellence Drive disciplined execution of strategic technology programs and cross-functional initiatives, ensuring outcomes are delivered on time and against agreed objectives. Establish robust governance mechanisms, operating cadences, milestone tracking, and performance reporting frameworks. Monitor progress across strategic initiatives, proactively identifying and resolving execution bottlenecks. Drive accountability across stakeholders and ensure decisions are translated into measurable actions. Lead special projects and transformation initiatives on behalf of the CTO. Analytics & Decision Support Leverage data, metrics, and business insights to support prioritization, investment decisions, and performance management. Develop executive dashboards, KPI frameworks, and reporting mechanisms that provide actionable visibility into organizational performance. Perform strategic analyses, scenario planning, and business impact assessments to support leadership discussions. Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through quantitative and qualitative analysis. CTO Office Operations & Leadership Effectiveness Manage leadership operating rhythms, including agenda planning, executive reviews, decision logs, action tracking, and follow-through. Ensure leadership discussions are outcome-oriented, with clear ownership and accountability. Handle highly confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Establish efficient mechanisms for collaboration across technology and business functions. Technology Transformation & Organizational Effectiveness Support enterprise technology transformation initiatives, ensuring business objectives, change management, and execution plans remain aligned. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across Engineering, Product, Security, Finance, Legal, and Business teams. Drive stakeholder alignment and organizational readiness during periods of change and growth. Enable continuous improvement of operating models, governance processes, and leadership effectiveness. Experience partnering with senior executives and influencing decision-making at leadership level. Proven track record of developing executive-level presentations, strategic communications, and board-ready materials. Maturity to handle confidential and/or sensitive information. Flexibility and readiness to work in a virtual team with remote management. Willingness to learn and share knowledge and experience across regional and organizational boundaries. Base Pay Range : $172,000- $226,179 (for 12-month contract duration). The wage may be adjusted within this range based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and the specific needs of the position.
