Full Job Description
Eaton's Electrical sector is currently seeking a Finance Manager. This on-site position that is based out of our Airdrie, AB location and offers benefits from day one.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $90,000 - 115,000 plus bonus.

What you'll do?

Strategic Financial Leadership
  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making, including evaluating capital deployment opportunities and resource prioritization.
  • Lead capital planning and deployment to address short-, medium-, and long-term needs of the business, ensuring prioritization and allocation based on business needs and cash flow.
  • Coordinate profit plans and forecasts for key operational metrics and manufacturing costs.

Operational Performance & Productivity
  • Analyze financial data and performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement; define KPIs with operational leaders and drive accountability for results.
  • Drive productivity through operational excellence, supply chain optimization, and effective budget management within the region.
  • Monitor and manage operational costs to achieve efficiency and cost reduction while maintaining quality standards.
  • Implement inventory control measures to maximize profitability and cash flow.

Collaboration & Organizational Development
  • Work closely with operations teams to develop strategies and action plans based on financial insights; monitor implementation and ensure alignment with KPIs.
  • Build organizational capability at two sites by leading talent development, succession planning, and organizational design initiatives.

Risk Management & Financial Modeling
  • Create financial models to assess the impact of various scenarios on operational performance.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks within operations through proactive strategies.

Transformation & Best Practices
  • Guide Finance Transformation initiatives at various sites, including change management and implementing best practices to enhance operational performance.


Qualifications:

Basic Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with a business/ finance focus.
• Minimum 5-8 years of accounting management/controllership experience.
• Minimum 2 years experience working in an operations/manufacturing environment.
• Must be authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now and in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Holder of or pursuing a professional accounting designation CPA (CMA, CGA, CA, CFA).
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Sarbanes Oxley (SOX).
• Minimum of 5 years of data analytics.
• Knowledge of federal/ provincial laws and regulations regarding taxes.
• Understanding of foreign exchange transaction and translation reporting.
• Knowledge of Oracle Financials and integration.
• Strong knowledge of effective internal control processes.
