Reporting to the medRISE manager, this person is a member of a team of research administration professionals who each have a portfolio of projects. This position will assist principal investigators with the planning, development, submission and administration of competitive grant proposals to a variety of federal and non-federal funding sources. This position will also provide support to principal investigators for post-award management of funded proposals.
This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.

The Research Administration Office, within the Office of Basic Research, Biotechnology and Graduate Studies, assists faculty, staff and student researchers with preparing research proposals, contracts and sponsored agreements. Our dedicated team of experts specializes in providing comprehensive proposal development support for large-scale and investigator-initiated projects to federal, non-federal, and industry sponsors.
Compensation:The starting salary for the position is $95,000 annually; but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Required Qualifications:3 years of experience working in research administration in a higher education environment
Experience in both pre- and post-award grant management
Experience interpreting and applying budgetary and compliance requirements of major funding agencies (federal, state, and private)
Experience in grant writing, editing, and formatting
Experience collaborating with research administrators and Principal Investigators
Experience with Workday, RAMP, and/or Cayuse
Bachelor27s Degree preferred
